Though his cutscenes where he talks of “the power of yes” are compelling, they don’t carry the same impact as his siblings’. John Seed ( Far Cry 5) – John is the weakest antagonist among the Seed siblings. However, he didn’t get as many memorable scenes, which is why he’s a few notches down the list. The owner of a global drug and human trafficking business, he holds far more power than Vaas. Hoyt Volker ( Far Cry 3) – Hoyt is a compelling villain who is unfortunately overshadowed by his partner, Vaas. Had he gotten more screen time and memorable moments in Far Cry 5, he would have likely belonged in the top tier. His calm and collected demeanor stand in stark contrast to the preceding primary antagonists, but it’s exactly what sets him apart. Joseph Seed ( Far Cry 5) – The Father takes a high-tier spot on the list because of how memorable his character is. His wartime stories hint that he had to cannibalize his fellow soldier to survive in the harsh wilderness, with his justification being that “the weak have their purpose.” Like Faith, he’s also a seasoned manipulator, making use of Pavlovian techniques to create vicious killing machines. Jacob Seed ( Far Cry 5) – Jacob is a war veteran and in charge of “culling the herd” in Eden’s Gate. Plus, she’s a master manipulator who toys with the protagonist and their allies. She’s high up on this list because her hallucination sequences are expertly done, if a bit jarring. Plus, the way he treats the player with such nonchalance fully knowing that they’re trying to kill him adds to his personality, and so does quoting Nietzsche.įaith Seed ( Far Cry 5) – Faith is the most unique Seed in that she isn’t Joseph’s biological sibling and isn’t his first “Faith” (as shown in the secret ending of the Collapse DLC in Far Cry 6). What makes him most interesting, however, is the fact that he’s a returning character in the Far Cry series. A powerful arms dealer supplying both sides of a war, his motivations are complex - not easily categorized as simply good or bad. Far Cry 3's Vaas was a seriously scary bad guy.
