I won't say more to not spoil any of it.Our website aims to provide its visitors with Word Craze Answers all levels. Most realistic psychopath ever put to film. It's about a psychopath who elaborately plans to do an abduction, and a couple who crosses paths. The tension takes you and does not let you go. The Vanishing (1988) - Not really conventional "horror", but just the way everything happens puts an uneasy knot into your stomach. Might not be pants-shittingly terrifying like the above two, but it is eery, claustrophobic. Had to sleep with the lights on after seeing this.Ĭarnival of Souls (1962) - A woman begins having strange things happen to her, and a mysterious man trailing her. I won't say more to not spoil the plot for you. It's about a girl who joins a ballet school in Europe, but things begin seeming creepy and weird. ![]() Suspiria (1977) - It was an absolute pleasure to watch this. This plot description doesn't do any of it justice. It's about a family who moves into a gigantic hotel as part of the husband's new job, and strange things start happening. The Shining (1980) - I saw this recently, and would confidently rank it as one of the best, interesting, and gripping horror movies ever made. Im here for the stories and the twisted imaginations that people can come up with. Not much scares me, and yet Horror is one of my favorite genres. Again, fear is subjective.Īnd not every horror movie has to be scary in order to be good. However, if someone that has a fear of clowns watches this movie, then they will be scared for years. It still looks very creepy, but most wont find it scary. It is more of a comedy than a horror movie. Like, a classic Horror movie called Killer Klowns From Outer Space. And there are also a ton of Horror Comedies. Basically any movie that isn't "normal" and not peaceful looking, then its either a Horror or Thriller. It just has to have the look and feel of a horror movie. A horror movie doesn't haves to be scary in order to be in the horror genre. And most horror movies aren't scary, and thats ok. What you find scary, others will not get scared. What you may find not scary, others will find it scary. Second edit: to clarify, I don't have a problem with jump scares I just don't like when they're the only attempt to make a movie scary, or when it's that obvious that they're about to happen that you can count them down.įear is subjective. TL DR Give me names, and if you're kind enough brief descriptions of decent horror movies.Įdit: Don't feel like you've wasted your time if you recommend a movie and I've already seen it, I've seen A LOT □ I also enjoy hearing other people's opinions on the movies whether I enjoyed them or not. I'm sure everyone gets the point so I'll end my 2:30am rambling with a thanks in advance to everyone that can help. I just want a plate full of GOOD, even GREAT horror movies to devour. I'm tired of watching something labelled as a "horror" and either turning it off or feeling like I wasted time giving it a chance. Horror movies that are unsettling, ones that occupy your brain when you are going to sleep, ones that when you see things irl you think of that movie, like the logging truck from final destination 2 for example. A plot you want to pay attention to, a plot that intrigues you. So I'm reaching out to all you fellow horror fans in the hopes that you could hook me up with some actual good horror movies, horror movies with a good plot. Don't get me wrong, I'm no horror snob, I sometimes love a bad horror movie, but only when I want to see senseless gore or almost comedic pointless jump scares in a movie with a laughable plot, which 9/10 times isn't what I hope for. I love a good horror movie, but with how bloated the genre is with bad horror movies it puts me off giving movies I haven't seen or know nothing about a chance. ![]()
